Software Tester

Responsibilities:

– Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software meets quality standards
– Collaborate with software developers and product owners to understand requirements and identify test scenarios
– Perform manual testing of software applications to identify defects and areas for improvement
– Design and implement automated test scripts using tools such as Cucumber and TFS
– Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously identified defects have been resolved
– Document test results, track defects, and provide regular status updates to the development team
– Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to software quality standards
– Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
– Strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes
– Experience with test automation using tools such as Cucumber or TFS
– Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python
– Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and databases (DB2, MySQL)
– Knowledge of computer networking protocols and concepts
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

– Experience testing mobile applications on Android platforms
